About Me

I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in English Literature and minors in French and creative writing. During my time at UT, I tutored students as both a Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Writing Consultant. Both roles allowed me to help students improve their writing in a variety of disciplines, from novel manuscripts to lab reports to cover letters.

As I helped others strengthen their writing skills, I also developed my own. My short story "Schism in a Soul So Tender" won the 2021 Roy Crane Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Literary Arts and the 2022 PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers. The piece will be published in Catapult's anthology of the best debut short stories in September 2023. I have also interned as a Content Writer for the consulting firm Affirma, where I created case study decks, blog posts, educational courses, one-pagers, eBooks, tip sheets, white papers, and infographics

Following graduation, I taught English at the middle and high school level in France's Centre-Val-de-Loire region. I started a newsletterAn Ongoing Epiphany, to share my experiences living in the French countryside and traveling to other European countries.

Now back in the United States, I'm eager to broaden the scope of my skills to areas such as proofreading, brand creation, and culture writing
